The Greater Catonsville Chamber of Commerce will host their inaugural "Outstanding Teacher Awards" event to be held at the Community College of Baltimore County Catonsville Campus (CCBC), on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. We are calling on Catonsville businesses and the community to stand with the Chamber in recognizing excellence in the teachers, individuals and organizations that have had an outstanding impact on education in our community. Help us honor these individuals and groups by purchasing a ticket to the event. Tickets are available for purchase online at the chamber’s website or by calling the chamber office, 410-719-9609. For the first year hosting such an event, the Chamber was pleased with the response received from our area schools and the community and hopes many more schools will participate next year. Community members and business leaders who were on the committee to organize this event were amazed to read about the fantastic work of Catonsville’s teachers and are excited to recognize their many accomplishments. The following teachers were nominated and one teacher from each participating school has been chosen as a finalist. It is from this finalist list that on May 31st the winners of the Outstanding Teacher Award for Elementary, Middle and High School will be recognized.
